Drawing Your Line is definitely a book that inspires you to make positive changes in your life. I would recommend you work through each chapter of this guide with a journal to gain the maximum benefit. Each chapter requires you to be honest and open with your answers but the results are life-changing. I have learned so much about the root causes of much of my behavior and beliefs about myself and others. The chapter on learning to be compassionate towards yourself and taking control of your inner voice was so simple yet extremely powerful. You may find yourself getting quite emotional as you work through each section, as it will unveil deep-rooted problems and beliefs you were unaware of. But if you continue to the end the insights are amazing; you will truly feel the weight of self-doubt and uncertainty lifting from your shoulders. There is even a section on dealing with difficult confrontational situations with calm confidence which I struggle with. The Integrity poem towards the end was so beautifully written, and the message conveyed really struck a chord with me. I also loved the chapter on gratitude and the importance of keeping a gratitude journal, something I wholeheartedly agree with. This guide is a must-read especially for those that have problems with low self-esteem and assertiveness.
This program by Dawn and Alison really helped me bring my “New Life” and the “New Me” to full circle! It has empowered me through the personal stories in each session, learning to recognize my boundaries, letter writing and letting go of pain, learning that incorporating respect and order in my life is a sign of self-love and making peace with myself and the past. This program was well written by Dawn and Alison and it is going to help many women.

It opened my eyes to things I did not realize were happening, and opportunities to set boundaries in places that I would not have even thought were possible. It has forced me (in a good way) to make the changes necessary for my life to be less stressful.

Dawn, lending your voice and experiences beyond the book added the personality the course deserves. You allowed and encouraged us to share our own experiences as well. My objective was to stretch myself a bit, meet new people, bond and make new friends, and explore a new topic. All 3 happened! I probably didn’t need the issue of boundaries as much as the others but I did learn things about myself. I appreciated the way the other ladies were willing to share.

This program gave me a positive roadmap for setting boundaries allowing me to take better care of myself. I realize that I am able and enough. Thank you Dawn for your passion and imparting it to us.
